PEACE DAY 2026 cancels Yoyogi Park event and plans September 21 livestream

The organizer announced the cancellation on September 19. A talk-focused YouTube Live is planned for 1 to 5 p.m. on September 21.

Updated September 20, 2026. PEACE DAY 2026 at Yoyogi Park, scheduled for Monday, September 21, at the Event Plaza, has been canceled. In its September 19 notice (https://peaceday.jp/2026/news/1618/), the organizer says it made the decision after consulting the parties involved, in light of weather conditions associated with approaching Typhoon No. 25.

Instead of the park event, a talk-focused livestream is planned for September 21 from 1 to 5 p.m. Performers, people involved in the event and organizations working for peace are expected to take part. Viewers can watch through the YouTube Live link in the announcement (https://youtube.com/live/nYo3AEPfcXo?feature=share).

The livestream hours differ from the originally planned park event, which was scheduled for 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Anyone planning to attend in person should note the cancellation.
