Yoyogi Junior High's evacuation site moves to Nishihara Campus from August 14
The existing Yoyogi Junior High site will close during rebuilding, with Nishihara Campus in Nishihara 1-chome serving as the replacement evacuation site.
Yoyogi Junior High will stop serving as an evacuation site from Friday, August 14, 2026 while the school is rebuilt. Shibuya City's official notice says the replacement evacuation site will begin operating from the same date.
The current Yoyogi Junior High site is at 1-46-1 Nishihara. Its replacement is Shibuya City Nishihara Campus at 1-40-34 Nishihara. Residents around Nishihara and Yoyogi-Uehara should update household disaster plans and make sure everyone knows the new destination.
Shibuya City notes that an evacuation site does not necessarily open whenever a disaster occurs. Check the city's disaster-prevention portal for current opening information and follow official instructions before traveling.
