Free water-extinguisher target activity at Yoyogi Park on October 24 and 25
Drop in near the cycling area for young children. Both days have a noon-to-1 p.m. break, with different afternoon closing times.
Yoyogi Park will hold a free water-extinguisher target activity on October 24 and 25, 2026. The Tokyo Metropolitan Park Association announced it on September 19 as part of Autumn Kids Festa 2026. The venue is near the cycling area for young children in Yoyogi Park, Yoyogi-Kamizonocho, Shibuya, Tokyo.
Participants use a water extinguisher to knock down nine targets while learning how to handle the equipment. Participation is on a drop-in basis. Hours are 10:30 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. on October 24, and 10:30 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3:30 p.m. on October 25. Both days have a noon-to-1 p.m. break.
Participants receive a children's disaster-preparedness certificate and a medal, while supplies last. During the festival, visitors can pass between the park and the National Olympics Memorial Youth Center. Other festival programs have their own fees and booking requirements, so check the festival website (https://nyc.niye.go.jp/festa). The water-extinguisher activity will be canceled in severe weather; check the park notice for updates before visiting.
