DISHES in Tomigaya holds its autumn–winter exhibition through September 29
Opened September 10. Linen orders on September 26–27 and a paid table-setting lesson on September 29 complement free short lessons.
Marumitsu Poterie’s autumn–winter exhibition runs September 10–29, 2026, at DISHES and related spaces in MEALS ARE DELIGHTFUL, 1-17-5 Tomigaya, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. DISHES is on the first floor, about an eight-minute walk from Yoyogi-koen or Yoyogi-Hachiman Station. It is open 11 a.m.–7 p.m. and closed Wednesdays. The exhibition introduces new tableware and linens.
Free table-setting lessons using the new items start at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. and last about 15 minutes. The shop accepts reservations and same-day participants; contact DISHES at 03-5465-1771. Although the event page says lessons run daily, the shop lists Wednesdays as closed, so confirm your intended date.
On September 26–27, linen specialist Bobine holds an apron and tablecloth order event at the third-floor Tomigaya Food Research Institute in the same building. Hours are 11 a.m.–7 p.m. on September 26 and 11 a.m.–5 p.m. on September 27.
On September 29, DISHES offers Art de la Table, a table-setting lesson with a Meals drink and ice cream, from 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m. or 1:30–3 p.m. The fee is ¥2,000; apply at DISHES or by email to dishes@marumitsu.jp. Check the official shop page (https://marumitsu.jp/m_a_d/dishes) and event announcement for availability and current details.
