Komaterrace Nishisando will host an Oi match recap session on August 8

Komaterrace Nishisando near Sangubashi will host instruction games and a large-board commentary recap for Games 2 and 3 of the 67th Ito En Oi title match on Saturday, August 8, 2026. The official notice describes the event as a look back at the seven-game match between Oi Sota Fujii and challenger Takumi Ito, who holds two titles.

The instruction games are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., followed by the large-board commentary session from 2:45 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Yasumitsu Sato 9-dan will provide commentary, and Yuzuki Takeuchi Women's 1-kyu will serve as interviewer. Capacity is six players for Sato's instruction games, four for Takeuchi's, and 40 for the commentary-only option.

Tickets are sold through the Japan Shogi Association online store. Sato's instruction games cost 6,000 yen, Takeuchi's cost 5,000 yen, and commentary-only tickets cost 5,000 yen.
