Shion Ota will perform a Reclining Concert at Hakuju Hall on September 11

The program has performances at 3:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Each runs about one hour without an intermission, with reserved reclining seats at 2,750 yen.

Hakuju Hall in Tomigaya will host its 189th Reclining Concert, featuring pianist Shion Ota, on Friday, September 11, 2026. The official page lists two performances: 3:00 p.m. with doors at 2:30 p.m., and 7:30 p.m. with doors at 7:00 p.m.

Each performance runs about one hour without an intermission. Reserved reclining seats cost 2,750 yen including tax, and the ticket page says they have been on sale since Saturday, July 4. The daytime and evening times give nearby residents two practical options for the same program.

The program includes Mendelssohn's Scottish Sonata and selections from Songs Without Words Book 6, Schumann's Three Fantasy Pieces, and Schubert's Wanderer Fantasy. Hakuju Hall is on the seventh floor of the Hakuju Institute for Health Science headquarters at 1-37-5 Tomigaya, about a five-minute walk from Yoyogi-koen or Yoyogi-Hachiman station.
