Komaterrace Nishisando will host a Kisei match recap session on July 11

Instruction games and a large-board commentary session will run on the same day. If the title match ends before Game 4, the recap will cover Game 3 only.

Komaterrace Nishisando near Sangubashi will host instruction games and a large-board commentary recap for the 97th Hulic Cup Kisei title match on Saturday, July 11, 2026. The official notice says the session will look back at Games 3 and 4 between Kisei Sota Fujii and challenger Shinichiro Hattori 7-dan.

The instruction games are scheduled for 13:00 to 14:30, followed by the large-board commentary session from 14:45 to 17:00. The listed commentators are Eiji Iijima 8-dan and Shinya Sato 7-dan. Capacity is listed as six players per instructor for the instruction games and 40 people for the commentary session.

Tickets are sold through the Japan Shogi Association online store, with the instruction games listed at 5,000 yen and the commentary session at 4,000 yen. The notice says that if the match is decided before Game 4, the event will recap Game 3 only.
